Emily joins the Los Angeles Chapter of Film Fatales

Film Fatales is a collective of female filmmakers who have directed at least one feature narrative or documentary film. Based in New York and Los Angeles, with additional chapters forming across the globe, members meet monthly to share a meal, a topical conversation relevant to the creative process, and updates on current projects. By offering a space for peer mentorship and support, Film Fatales continues to promote the creation of more films by and about women.

Emily chosen for Ryan Murphy's new HALF Foundation Directing Program

Ryan Murphy's newly created HALF Foundation selects up-and-coming women and minority directors to pair with more seasoned mentors and become part of the "directing pool" at Ryan Murphy Television.  Ryan has committed that half (50%) of all the directors on his shows will now be women.  Emily was selected for this prestigious program and lucky enough to be paired with the incomparable Jamie Lee Curtis.  Emily spent nearly a month with Jamie shadowing her on set as she directed an episode of her hit show, SCREAM QUEENS (Fox).  You can read more about the HALF program and Ryan's efforts to make a major change in Hollywood here: thr.cm/PeOTqS

Emily selected as 1 of 9 "Emerging Directors" for WeForShe DirectHer Program

WeForShe’s DirectHer Program provides you with names of breakout emerging female directors who are partnered with veteran episodic directors set to guarantee their work.  Emily was selected as 1 of 9 "Emerging Directors" and has been paired with comedy director CHRISTINE GERNON (New Girl, The Grinder, Fresh Off the Boat).  Emily has already shadowed Christine on an episode of The Grinder this year and their mentor/mentee relationship will continue as Emily takes general directing meetings around town in pursuit of her first episodic directing assignment. 

Emily joins Red Productions roster as newest Commercial Director!

Emily is thrilled to announce her collaboration with Red Productions, a film/tv/commercial production company out of the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Red Productions is a leading producer of brand content recently added Emily to their in-house directing roster for commercial work.  Emily is based in Los Angeles, CA but able to travel for jobs when and where needed.  Emily is excited to get to work!

3 Sold Out Performances for the "She's The First" Benefit!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Charitable Living "She's The First" Benefit Shows this weekend at the ACME THEATER in Hollywood.  We sold out every performance and raised crucial funding for this amazing organization!

Emily directing one-act play for charity Nov 13-15!

LA Folks!  Come see a night or original one-act short plays all benefitting the amazing organization SHE'S THE FIRST that provides scholarships to girls so that they can be the first in their families to go to school.

Happy New Year! -- Sketch Comedy Tour Update

It's 2014!  How much weight have you lost!?

I just wanted to give a quick update about the Sketch Comedy Tour.  Unfortunately, I will NOT be performing in the January shows (Jan 8, 12, + 26) because filmmaking duties have called me back to Los Angeles for a project.  My hope is that I will be able to rejoin my team for the Valentine's shows in February.  If you were planning to come see me on one of those dates, I apologize!  But please still go see the show.  You will still laugh -- a lot!
